Going through my stash last night, I ran across a couple of Monogram 1/32 "Luminator" kits, which supposedly glow in the dark. One is a Lamborghini and the other is a Mustang funny car. I must have won these from some club raffle or something in the '90s, because I don't remember buying these things in 1/32.

Just did a quick google search and couldn't find much if anything about the Luminators, either text or images. Apparently Monogram released some of the old Aurora monsters in this series, but I can't find any listing of 1/32 cars. Anyone know or remember anything about these? Are they particularly valuable?

They made quite a few kits in the Luminators series. Just reissues of old kits with parts molded in glow in the dark plastic. I have several of the funny car kits.

I have 2 Luminators kits myself

I believe the 78 Vette, and a SnapTite Battleship.

NOT sure which one

I think they may have planned to re-issue many of the SnapTite kits in Luminator

But I am guessing they did Not sell as well as expected.

Mine are still sealed, so I am not sure what color they are molded in
