It really doesn't look very good, certainly not for the money. I'm quite surprised there is no kit or good diecast of the RS yet. There is an overpriced 1/43, and a TBA Hotwheels, but zip otherwise. Car is dead ringer for early 935 pre slant nose, and is a bit faster and more hp without snails on it.

There's a 997 GT3 R kit, but a 997.1 and 997.2 GT3 and RS, 991 GT3 and RS nada.

I've a vested interest in getting a kit.  :D Won't ever see my dd in a kit though :(

Very nice. :D

Agree, I'd be crazy happy about a plastic 1/24-scale 991 GT3 or GT3 RS. Have both in 1/43 diecast and the Minichamps 1/18-scale GT3, but still want a kit! Spark made an assembled resin 1/18-scale RS promo for Porsche, but it's way too pricey for me.

...I think you're missing the point, slightly... ;-P

..and there are only four pieces that didn't already exist in Lego...

best,

I like that better, but the gaping holes in front of HL and the tiny fender vents just not what they can do. Their VW T1 camper is quite nice.

My 12yo son looked at the orange kit a few days ago and he rejected it :P I do like the black/camo version. The 4 parts must be the wheels, they do look good, but wish the rears were bigger.

The 2 most amazing things about the 1:1 are the fender vents (they really work, as extended rain driving and tracking showed me :D), and the enormous 21" 325's stuffed into the fenderwells with the intake in front of them. Brutal. Kinda lost on the Lego.

As a lust object, a 991 TTS, a GT3, an RS, a GT4 all would be sellers. Huge sellers. Molded in Ultraviolet, or a nice white, the RS would sell to anyone if it fell together like the original Tamiya 935. Open the 1:1 engine lid, and I see 2 fans, the oil filler, and the radiator cap. Nothing else. To see motor, use a lift, or pull rear bumper. Curbside vs. full detail is actually moot.

Mega-bloks did a Ford GT ('05) that was awesome, a few molded body parts, but rest was blocks. It was amazing, Mine still sitting on shelf looking wonderful. Hope they do the new GT.  As close as I'll get to a 1:1 for now.

Welp, its a Lego, not meant to be perfect but is a totally bitchen facsimile.

And how fun it would be to build, I'm definitely getting it for my birthday.  The parts count alone is amazing!

The MegaBloks is huge, probably 20" or so done.

I'm probably harsh about the RS. Jaded but lucky guy. We love Legos, their F40 and some others are nice.

Orange not a fave color, but I'd not seen the camo. Black hides my concerns too. There's a Dragster we have somewhere with some huge rear tires, maybe that would help. Still, closest thing we have.

1:24, Welly did a nice 997.1 RS, and some Chinese company did a 997.2 RS, car not as good as Welly, but graphics nice. The Minichamps 1:43 and the 1:18 are nice, as is the 997.2 RS 4.0. Wish someone would do a kit. Odd that nothing current is out save the 918. 919, 991, 718,... No current BMW save the Revell-Germany E92 M3 DTM. Last M3 was the E36 by Dragon, and the new E30 M3 coming from I forget whom.
