cobraman Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 (edited) Every so often I like to build something different than a car or truck. Found this on ebay and thought it fit the bill. It's the Thunderbird 1 and launch bay in 1/350 scale. Made by Aoshima. I deviated from the color call outs they had listed. Built right from box except I used two rail sections of HO scale track instead of just the printed track they had on the cardboard. I had to nail the foam board and printed cardboard they provided on a piece of wood because the foam board curved upward after gluing the cardboard mat to the foam board. I even placed a heavy law book on it and it still did not dry flat. Anyway, here it is all finished. Comments of any sort are always welcome. http://i209.p hotobucket.com/albums/bb207/cobraman86/Mobile%20Uploads/thunderbirds%20001_zpsscmrkfdg.jpg Edited July 15, 2016 by cobraman spelling error
Crazy Ed Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Interdesting Ray. Bet that'd draw more than a little attention at the next Model Show you go to!
CometMan Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 That is very cool, Ray! I have not seen one of those built before, it looks like a real monster!
cobraman Posted July 16, 2016 Author Posted July 16, 2016 Thanks ! It's a silly thing but it was a great change of pace.
