stavanzer Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 I see this kit is now out there. Has anybody seen the insides yet? Just wondering what the Decal Sheet looks like, as otherwise it would appear to be the evergreen Roadster/Pickup kit, in a new box, with a cardboard cutout gas station. Even so, I might wind up buying one. You can never have enough Model T kits.
unclescott58 Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Have one on order. Looking forward to it, despite being a rehash of the same old '25 T kit. The cardboard station and cutouts make it worth while to me. What can I say? I love the Stooges. And I've never built this kit as a roadster pickup before, so it's worth adding to my collection.
Mark Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 I picked one up yesterday. It's the roadster/stock height coupe kit, which includes the long pickup bed as an option for the stock roadster. It's molded in black, and for the rod version includes only four blackwall tires (no pad printing, no slicks). Decals are mostly in white, lettering for the garage/oil company, all on a Three Stooges theme.

Sledsel Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Model T's came in any color you wanted as long as it was black. Funny that Round 2 molded it in black.
stavanzer Posted July 18, 2016 Author Posted July 18, 2016 Would've been nice if Round2 had at least used the Whitewall Tires and Slicks in the Stooge kit, but that is a minor gripe. The Black Plastic is a bigger gripe, but still not much of one. If these kits make it to the Big Box Hobby store where I can use my coupon, I'll be getting one. Thanks, Round2!
unclescott58 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Model T's came in any color you wanted as long as it was black. Funny that Round 2 molded it in black. Not completely true. Through the early teens, and again in '26 and '27, you could get Ts in colors other than black from the factory. But, the '25, which the Stooge kit is, was only available in black. Again, even though I plan on building my Stooge roadster pickup stock. In black. I just do not like black plastic. Going to have to use a good primer if I build the street rod version in something other than black.By the way, mine arrived in the mail today.
stavanzer Posted July 19, 2016 Author Posted July 19, 2016 Pics? Please? Just the Tires and Decals will work.
Art Anderson Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Model T's came in any color you wanted as long as it was black. Funny that Round 2 molded it in black. From late 1913 through the last of the small radiator/hood 1925 Model T's yes. Prior to that, and for 1926-27, other colors were available.
stavanzer Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 Just checked H*bby L*bby, they are not there yet. Noticed that the '23 C-cab Van with the Hershey decals is on clearance now for about $15.00. The last of the Fruitwagon kits are gone now too.
Mark Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Having had a peek at the shelf stickers at HL a couple of weeks ago (before they were put up), the Stooges' T was not among the kits that they will be carrying after the reset that is taking place now.
