landman Posted September 2, 2016 Author Posted September 2, 2016 (edited) Test fitting the tub to the body showed that the new cowl tapers more sharply and the front corners of the tub touch the walls before they reach their intended location. Some filing took care of it. Should be able to think about paint soon. Edited December 25, 2020 by landman
Eric Macleod Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Could I humbly suggest a very dark blue or perhaps silver?
landman Posted September 3, 2016 Author Posted September 3, 2016 Humbly? That combination has actually crossed my mind. However I am currently toying with red pearl over white pearl.
slusher Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Pat how did you get the lines in your interior, black wash or pen??? Looking great by the way...
landman Posted September 4, 2016 Author Posted September 4, 2016 Pat how did you get the lines in your interior, black wash or pen??? Looking great by the way...Black wash Carl.
landman Posted September 5, 2016 Author Posted September 5, 2016 (edited) We have paint. Once again, I was too hasty. should have waited longer to mask the white. Some of it peeled off with the masking tape. I'll try touch ups as I don't feel like stripping and starting again. Edited December 25, 2020 by landman
charlie8575 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Very sharp color combination.Charlie Larin
Eric Macleod Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Those colors work very nicely on this car. I like the blackwall tire treatment with the racy roadster body.
landman Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 (edited) Working on detailing the firewall. The paint touch-ups didn't hide the mistakes completely, but it'll have to do. Started with the clear. Edited December 25, 2020 by landman
landman Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) Added the hood side panels and the exhaust flex. Edited December 25, 2020 by landman
slusher Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I really like the color combo. What tape did you use for masking Pat??
landman Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 I really like the color combo. What tape did you use for masking Pat??I edged with that yellow Tamiya tape then filled with the regular green stuff.
landman Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 (edited) Completed the interior. BMF'd the cowl band. Mounted the body to the frame. Hood to cowl fit isn't the best. I'll have to be careful how I take my photos. Edited December 25, 2020 by landman
landman Posted September 19, 2016 Author Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) Added a few more things.... Edited December 25, 2020 by landman
Eric Macleod Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Very impressive looking. I like the Vee shaped windshield behind the Vee shaped radiator shell. The colors, black wall tires and all the little details are adding up to a knockout Duesenberg.

landman Posted September 20, 2016 Author Posted September 20, 2016 (edited) So there you have the highly improbable Duesenberg with Henley Roadster body by Brewster. Edited December 25, 2020 by landman
Eric Macleod Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Most excellent save. I like everything you have done with this one including the photography. Great model!
