5th restoration- rebodied Duesenberg

Test fitting the tub to the body showed that the new cowl tapers more sharply and the front corners of the tub touch the walls before they reach their intended location. Some filing took care of it. Should be able to think about paint soon.

Humbly?  That combination has actually crossed my mind. However I am currently toying with red pearl over white pearl.

We have paint. Once again, I was too hasty. should have waited longer to mask the white. Some of it peeled off with the masking tape. I'll try touch ups as I don't feel like stripping and starting again.

Those colors work very nicely on this car. I like the blackwall tire treatment with the racy roadster body.

Working on detailing the firewall. 

The paint touch-ups didn't hide the mistakes completely, but it'll have to do. Started with the clear.

I edged with that yellow Tamiya tape then filled with the regular green stuff.

Completed the interior. BMF'd the cowl band. Mounted the body to the frame. Hood to cowl fit isn't the best. I'll have to be careful how I take my photos.

Very impressive looking. I like the Vee shaped windshield behind the Vee shaped radiator shell. The colors, black wall tires and all the little details are adding up to a knockout Duesenberg.
