I've always liked the lines of those boats, but never attempted to do a plank on frame build. I don't think I would know where to start supply wise. I do wood working in my spare time and have lots of the bigger power tools, but don't you need a lot of smaller hand tools to build plank on frame?

Yes I had used X-acto blades and saw, and a 2" plane to shape the Hull and lots of Sanding only by hand no motor tools

All you need now are some scale lobsters... :D

How about these ? They came with the boat I painted them red with black over spray for the realistic look

Very nice build on that lobster boat. Many years ago I had started a "plank on frame" Chris Craft '55 Cobra and it would be nice if I finished it someday. Maybe???

Thanks ? My next project is a Chris craft ??

I've seen one of these fitted with R/C on a local pond, and they are beautiful when finished!!!  All the natural wood finish is not something typically seen on the water anymore, and is a real eye catcher.  I hope you post pic's of it when you finish it. I think you'll do a great job on itB).
