Looks like a great project to follow. As I have two of the tridrive trucks, the lowboy and 11  of the Pay Hauler.

So to say the least I am interested to see what you do on this one.

The tridrive will be getting a stretch and a scratchbuilt tag axle added, haven't decided on a color scheme yet but I'm afraid of the kit decals being too far gone to use so I'll probably tape off some stripes for it

Jeep is almost ready for paint and detailing, still need to put the rest of the wheel ends together. Frame stretch is done frame is almost ready to start plumbing air lines and hydraulic lines

Fantastic work going on so far!!

If I may ask a rookie question, whats the purpose of the jeep? I'm assuming weight distribution for larger loads, but never being around the truck hauling field, I wanted to learn more.

Jeff: the jeep along with the pusher behind the low boy are exactly that, weight distribution. The jeep takes most of the pin load leaving the tractor tasked with moving the rolling weight. In a application like this the tri drive is more for traction under heavy load, it's much easier to transmit 1500+ ft lbs through 3 ring gears with two power dividers rather than 2 ring gears with one power divider, the tag in its location in front of the drives would take weight off the front axle and help keep the drive axles from slipping

Haven't made a ton of progress it's been triple digits around here all week and after I get home from turning wrenches on 1:1 rigs the motivation just isn't there, started running air lines and got the 475 put together, still have to plumb it and add a light wash to it. Started on the interior as well
