I don't know how I missed this 'cept that I don't get much into drag cars-----------this one is super-duper nice!!

Very sharp and clean and it "sits" right! B)

thanks,Bill, for your nice comments here. this kit has many problems and pitfalls, as you know, but still can build into a decent car for the end result. I have a soft spot for these 68 runners, as I owned a really nice 383 car for years back in the day. as for the stance, or sitting correctly, out of box they all seem too low to me, but a bit of plastic and time fixes that quickly. anyhow, appreciate the comments from a renown builder such as yourself....best, the Ace....;)

why white headers,,,ah, why not.....4 of my own personal strret/strip cars in the 70s  and 80s had VHT white painted  headers on them,,,,not to mention about a zillion other race and street car's then, and even now......strange question really...........the Ace....-_-

I was only joking Ace, :D, as in referance  to the "why blue head lights" question. I had white headers on my jeep and my 76 Road Runner.

I'm glad to hear that's the case, because the head light question you refer to surprised a few of us.....good that we're on the same page.....the Ace.....;)

Did you ever think about doing a '69 'CUDA  SUPER STOCK?

Hi Gene, ....sure, I intend to build a couple of them in a fairly basic manner at some point, with sharp two tone paint, and just plug wires and basic details.  However over the years, I have built several MPC 68-69 Cudas that have come and gone, so it's not something planned soon. Keep in mind, though, that the actual S/S light weight Hemi cars were 1968 Barracudas. To be totally accurate you need a resin 68 body,,,and I don't bother at all with resin,,, or an original annual MPC 68 Cuda, that now commands big bucks, and even if you are lucky enough to have one, it is major work to convert one correctly. I have 4 MPC kits, 2 of the newest issue MPC 1969 car, and 2 of the Killer Cuda versions from the late 70s. Even though the Killer Cuda has some 68 appointments, its still actually a 1969 car. So to sum it up, Gene, I will build a couple that will actually be 69s, but have fun regardless. I can tell you that built with a bit of skill and nice paint, they make a great looking S/S on your shelf in spite of the inaccuracies.....the current issue that I know you have has everything except cylinder heads for the Hemi, and I recall us having that discussion back months ago....maybe if you bang one out I'll get motivated to join in and build one myself...lol...as you know the decal sheet with that kit is just dying to be used to build a great S/S piece, and thanks for asking, hope you are doing well,,,the Ace....:D
