ismaelg Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 John, I have just updated my dictionary. These pictures appear now as the definition of "ELEGANCE". What a gorgeous car! The lines are so beautiful. I don't know anything about the color options of them but yours is great. Nice job! Thanks,
Mr. Can Am Garage Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 John, I have just updated my dictionary. These pictures appear now as the definition of "ELEGANCE". What a gorgeous car! The lines are so beautiful. I don't know anything about the color options of them but yours is great. Nice job! Thanks, Thank You Izzy! That means a lot coming from you. I used a Mint diecast as my basis for this paint scheme. A pale yellow over maroon on a Packard became this.
cruz Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Very clean and smooth man, color combo looks great also!!!
FactoryStock54 Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Beautiful! Love the color combo and the detailing on the interior. Truly a gorgeous car! makes the one I've been working on lately look like a bucket o' warm spit!
stevegt738 Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Elegance is a very apt description of this car. You have done an excelent build.
Harry P. Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Yikes! Another ancient thread resurrected from the crypt! What's going on here today?
imatt88 Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Harry, I was looking for build threads for Duesenbergs and I stumbled across this one. I'm resurrecting a couple of glue bombs, a Phaeton and a Town car. Excellent reference pics! Cheers, Ian
Mike Kucaba Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Just beautiful and we really need to send e-mails to Terry over at M.A.S. to get the P.E. wire wheels for classics back in the catalog.
surfjunke Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Very nice, clean build of an old classic kit. Great color choice as well.
charlie8575 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I'm glad this one got drudged up. I like it. Charlie Larkin
Skydime Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I never saw this before. Looks almost as if it rolled out of Leno's collection.
Plasticfanatic Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Beautiful model of a beautiful car.
dimaxion Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Thank You Izzy! That means a lot coming from you. I used a Mint diecast as my basis for this paint scheme. A pale yellow over maroon on a Packard became this. In the day these were custom built . The Running Chassis , in this case Duesenberg , was supplied to a Custom Body Finisher . At one time these were profuse . Whyman , Fisher Body , Le Baron , Dietric . Quite a few in Europe also . The colors were custom made also . Anything goes is the byword . You did well and just right . I am glad to see this drug up . Thanx ..
bsoder Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 An oldie but a goodie...in more ways than one
imatt88 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Hey guys, let keep this one going....Mike...who is Terry and M A S, and what about those photoetch wheels?
Lownslow Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 man that thing is a beauty i just started a chrysler roadster today
Dr. Cranky Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Lovely model. The interior just sparkles with great details.
Modelmartin Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Hey guys, let keep this one going....Mike...who is Terry and M A S, and what about those photoetch wheels? Machined Aluminum Specialties is an aftermarket model parts producer who used to make a photo-etch wire wheel set. It wasn't too bad but the hubs and rims were a little generic. If you used the P/E spokes and the the hubs and rims cut from the kit wheels you would have the perfect Duesey wheel.
Rob Z Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Great looking ride John, the colors really set this one a world apart... A+++ My friend...
