I believe he used the long bed from the MPC 72 Chevy pickup as a reference to compare what he had to do to get the right length. I have a couple of beds and will be attempting this conversion this winter.

Nice! I have one 66 Fleetside Shortbed on deck that I am making into a 4x4 as well. Got the same tires too! Your paintjob is killer. Haven't decided on my colors yet. Nice build, you set the bar high for sure. Thanx.

Just a FYI, the chassis from the recent reissued 84 GMC kit will fit under these Revell GM pickups with minimal work, mostly trimming the wheelwells off.
