Intmd8r Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Looks like you hit the ground running with this one!Nice detail-you got my attention
slusher Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Man,you have some outstanding detail work going in this build. I really like what you have done....
Jstfrnds Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 Thanks to all. I've posted a few other builds of mine on here awhile back. But I will keep you all updated on this build. First big truck I've ever built. I LOVE detail. Thanks again for the comments
dragstk Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Great start! Impressive work. Where did you get the tires and wheels?
Jstfrnds Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 I took monster truck tires and cut them down and then glued them back together and the rims are all homemade. I got the dry sump and starter done tonight.
Jstfrnds Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 Ok today I got the headers done and the pulley system so far. Thanks for all the comments.
1zebra3 Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 (edited) SWEET TRUCK!! Don't start the engine till you get plug wires in the correct firing order. LOL Hate to see you bend a bunch valves Edited October 3, 2016 by 1zebra3 misspell
Jstfrnds Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 I no right. Lol. But for the first time I wasn't sure if I could do that. Next build for sure. The only thing box stock on the engine is the tranny n block. All other is hand made. Never done one this detailed but I love detail.
1930fordpickup Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I like it. Thanks f or telling where the tires came from. Just say it is one of those high dollar distributor caps so the wires stay neat.
slusher Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Great engine detail. All your lines and fitting are neatly done.
Jstfrnds Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 Nope. I made the distribotor and made the boots on the wires. Nothing iis bought. Make the heads out of styrene and intake is all handmade. Carbs are all homemade also. Need to get them a little detailed better next set. Getting better at making these small things but I have big hands. So !!!!!!!! Lol. But practice makes perfect. I hope. Lol
Jstfrnds Posted October 9, 2016 Author Posted October 9, 2016 Ok, got the transfer case done and the ujoint a for driveshafts. That was freaking hard.but got them. Hope u like how the build is going.
Jstfrnds Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 This is the truck I'm building for my mud truck. Coming along pretty well. And thanks again for all the comments.
Jstfrnds Posted October 28, 2016 Author Posted October 28, 2016 Ok people, I don't mean to sound negative but I had this thread in on the workbench guess I wasn't allowed to put it there. But I hope now this is correct. I have been adding new pics of how it's going. Hope you all are enjoying this build. I got all the suspension done and the seat harnesses and the fender flares. Getting there slowly.
Davewilly Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Looking really good! Those are some killer little U-Joints! Nice work!
Jstfrnds Posted October 29, 2016 Author Posted October 29, 2016 Looks like you hit the ground running with this one! Nice detail-you got my attention thank you. Got some color on it and all the seat harnesses. Crazy hard. Lol
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Very Nice Project!! Excellent work and detail!! The Color choice is Great! I like it!!
Jstfrnds Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 Ok. Got the black on it now. Almost all the suspension is done and been working on the interior. It's funny the little things are what slows a project down a lot. But I did start a new thread on another progect while paints drying more on the mud truck. It's a magnum with a huge twist. Hope you all like.
Jstfrnds Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 I have more pics to add but it's telling me I can't. Not sure what's up.
drsnapper55 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Great idea on splitting the tires - thanks for posting pics of your progress - nice building
