Mr Stock Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Do any of you guys know of any other place apart from Modelhaus who does the AMT compact whiteline tyres as used in the 60s annual kits like the 65/6 Barracuda 65 Mustang etc.I need a couple of sets but they are hard to find.thanks, Gary
Draggon Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Scenes unlimited has them, they just don't have whitewalls. http://scenesunltd.com/products/t36-1-25-goodyear-13-tires
ChrisBcritter Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 The tires in the Piranha/Super Spy Car appear to be the same, although I'm not sure of the size of the opening: And here are the ones from the '60 Ranchero; again these look to be the compact tires (or copies of them) with larger openings. Maybe they could be sleeved to fit the wheels?
Mark Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 The Spy Car (and Ohio George Ranchero) have the promotional model/Craftsman kit version of this tire, with the center piece trimmed out. The center hole in them is larger than that of the tire that was used in kits.
Mr Stock Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 Thanks guys I appreciate your help, looks like scenesunltd have what Im looking for.
Bob Ellis Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I think th Modelhaus number was T265. I bought a couple of sets from them. The whitewall insert likes to fall out. Those tires from Piranha and 60 Falcon are same as old AMT compact tires such as Corvair, early Mustang, Get Smart car and some others. Looks like Goodyear.
