Joe, what year is your truck? they recalled my 2001 Ranger 4x4 early this year an all they did was put in a fusible link in the cruise control. Took longer to write it up than to do it. The service Tech did it in less than 5 min.

I heard its an ugly fix. I have a 2001 Ranger but I don't have cruise control.

Terry, all he did was disconnect the pigtail from the cruise unit , spliced in a 10/12 in. fusable link wire and re-plug it in.that's all, not even 5 min. worth of work.

Now I really feel like an idjut. I went on the thread Joe posted an saw what HE was refering to. Yeah it probably woulda took longer than 5 min. if ol Bruiser was keepin warm in there!And it woulda really been ugly if he didn't wanna move!
