lizardlust Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 If that F-150 hasn't had the cruise control recall update done yet, he COULD end up with a "hot" dog.......
george 53 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Joe, what year is your truck? they recalled my 2001 Ranger 4x4 early this year an all they did was put in a fusible link in the cruise control. Took longer to write it up than to do it. The service Tech did it in less than 5 min.

george 53 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Terry, all he did was disconnect the pigtail from the cruise unit , spliced in a 10/12 in. fusable link wire and re-plug it in.that's all, not even 5 min. worth of work.
george 53 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Now I really feel like an idjut. I went on the thread Joe posted an saw what HE was refering to. Yeah it probably woulda took longer than 5 min. if ol Bruiser was keepin warm in there! And it woulda really been ugly if he didn't wanna move!
RJWood Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Thats a great way to keep someone from stealing your battery. I could imagine the look on there face when they quietly open the hood.
