maltsr Posted December 30, 2016 Author Posted December 30, 2016 (edited) Finished the chassis, just need to find a parts-box steering box. Made a start on the engine and headers, which are copied from those on the Brizio build. Edited January 25, 2017 by maltsr
misterNNL Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 In answer to the question about this being a "zipper"car, you are correct in as much as Zipper Motor Co.does offer turn key car in this same style but the "Zipper" is a trade name. They have some neat stuff if you Google them and look at the finished cars on line.
maltsr Posted January 15, 2017 Author Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) I've had to start the interior from scratch and drew inspiration from a drawing by Steve Sanford. Just a basic application of half round styrene rod to create a rolled top and scrap sheet/rod to make the interior panels. The chrome trim was applied using a Molotow Chrome marker which seem to be taking the modelling community by storm, they work really well. The gauge panel is from Model Car Garage, with white paint applied to the back of the clear lenses. Windshield has been chopped and I'm going to leave the paint in the satin sheen. Just waiting for my Weber carbs to arrive from Germany. Edited January 25, 2017 by maltsr

maltsr Posted January 25, 2017 Author Posted January 25, 2017 (edited) Almost finished this build - the white metal carbs and separate trumpets are great, I sourced these from Scale Productions. The radiator is from the Buttera Model T kits, as are the cut down rear lights. The aluminium steering column is made by Parts by Parks. I just need to sort out the wide moon tank at the rear, a friend will help shorten a piece of aluminium bar to fit above the frame rails in a couple of weeks. Edited January 25, 2017 by maltsr
