I'm specifically interested in whether anyone on here has transplanted the engine bay sheetmetal or used the chassis from the Revell Gran Torino to upgrade the level of detail on MPC's old '71-'73 Cougars.  If so, please elaborate, i.e. chassis will work if trimmed x-amount, etc.  Pics would also be greatly appreciated.

Wouldn't make much sense as the Gran Torino was a body-on-frame design while the Cougar was unibody...different architectures.

Other than the 1969 engines, what's wrong with the Cougar chassis/underhood setup?  It was way ahead of its time when new, and still holds up pretty well compared to a lot of newer stuff...

Didn't know that.  Duly noted.  Thanks!

My inquiry was based on what I assumed were the Gran Torino's more detailed underhood setup and chassis detail.  Rob has already pointed out where I was way off base regarding the chassis, and if you say the Cougar's underhood sheetmetal etc is more than adequate, I'll leave the Gran Torino out of the mix and work with what I've got.
