New guy here. I came over from the dark side, aka the other board. I thought I would post a couple of my builds. I haven't been happy with the dark side, less with the new changes. So I hope that this will be a place I can hang my hat, and make some new friends. So here I go.

This is the Revell kit, modeled after the 383 Bee my brother had. He found a couple of pics of his Bee, taken about a month after he got her. So its pretty accurate down to the wheels. He took it to the strip every weekend and bracket raced it. His Bee became pretty well known around town. There weren't many white with a red stripe like his. The side scoops are resin. The red bee stripe I made by scanning the kits black stripe, putting it in Paintshop Pro and changing it to red. Then printing it on Testors decal paper. The hood I made by combining the kits six-pack hood and a resin power buldge. The fender turn signals are scrap chrome sprue, shaped.

Well thanks for looking.

Thanks. The 68-69 B bodies, in my opinion, was some of the best looking Mopars produced in the late 60's era. Now 50's, for me would be the 57 300, 57 Desoto, and the 58 Fury. Those were works of art.

I sence the force is strong with you. I like the more relaxed atmosphere over here. Welcome. I also am a big fan of the B bodies. Great build. Love it. Great job on the hood.

Thanks for the comments and welcome. When my brother saw the model he couldn't get over it. He knew I was making it like his, but didn't think that much like his. His Bee was one of those rides that he is still kicking himself for getting rid of. He thought it was pretty cool that I had it down to the license plates. So I ended up buying a nice display case for it and giving it to him as a gift. He currently has a 64 300K with cross rams. One day I'll get lucky and grab a kit off Ebay and make another one of his rides.

Until then, I got the new 68 Charger kit coming that I plan on building like what I had many years ago.
