This is my Mannix '72 'Cuda Convertible built with the AMT/ERTL Snapfast Plymouth 'Cuda.  I painted the body with Duplicolor Forest Green Pearl with a Semi-Gloss Black interior.  The hood and bumpers are from the Revell '70 Hemi 'Cuda and the wheels and rear view mirrors are from my parts box.

And for your viewing pleasure, the Mannix theme song...

Nice ride! It sits well and looks proper handsome in that green.

Have you ever tried foiling the scripts before you paint and then rub off the high spots once the paint is finished?

If you haven't, give it a go, because you can get good results. A blunted toothpick dipped in thinner works, or VERY gently rub it with some 2000 grit wet n dry.

Nice looking build, now you'll have to build the 1972 Challenger convertible from Mission Impossible as a stablemate. I also remember some Cuda/Challenger '72 convertibles on other TV series like The Brady Bunch, Medical Center and possibly The Mod Squad. There's probably others since Chrysler, like the other manufacturers supplied cars to various shows.

geetee66, I have not tried foiling before painting, but I may give it a go somewhere down the road.

Chrysler, like Ford and GM, were suppliers to the studios of their cars for promotional consideration.  When Chrysler decided on discontinuing convertibles, they changed the '71s loaned to the studios into '72s.  At this time, I have decided on not doing any other Chrysler convertibles from TV or movies.  The Mannix 'Cuda is with its stablemate, the '68 Dart GTS convertible that I built several years ago and is in a display case.

Thank you guys!
