Hi,

I've just finished up college and can finally settle back down and get back into building models.  I just got the revell kw k100 with the flat top sleeper and was looking for some help.  We had a family friend who ran one of these on his farm a few years back that had a GIANT 12v71 detroit packed tight underneath it.   I would really like to try and replicate the setup he had.

Which comes to the whole "help" part..

How difficult, if at all possible, would it be to put a 12v7 in the revell kit?  I feel pretty confident in making the exhaust and intake work, but am not sure if (or how) the engine wI'll fit in the chassis or how the transmission will be connected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Ben

if it fit under the real one then it will fit under the model..u will have to do some mods but i don't think to many..i do a lot of scratch building and use flex drinking straws for the exhaust and air..u can do it... my friend sells a nice resin cast V12 if u need one...Moluminum Model Truck Parts

Should be pretty easy,it is really no bigger then a V8 of the same type, just longer, not any wider.you might have to move some of the turbo piping or exhaust outlets,i made one myself from 2 old 8v92s from a peterbilt cabover kits, looks OK,havent run the pipes for the turbos yet, planning on 2 superchargers and 2 turbos?,The v12swere actually pretty common back in the day,you also see a lot of them running power generators for hospitals and the like too.Harvey

You could get the 12v71 from the Super Boss kit and have all the extra parts and pieces to work with though the turbo setup will most likely not fit under the cab over dog house. The 12v71 won't be any longer that the inline six already in the K100, just a bit wider.
