neverstopdreamin Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Been out of the modeling world for quite a few years finally started building again at the beginning of the year!! Here's a s10 I've made into an ext cab..building it as a replica of a feature truck that was built here in my home city years ago that I fell in love with.
gatorincebu Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Nice start on this project ! Be Well Gator
espo Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Interesting, the back doors look a little short, but maybe that's the way they were??
neverstopdreamin Posted February 4, 2017 Author Posted February 4, 2017 @espo I just took two single cab kits and put them together to make an ext cab.wont be back doors hint to why they appear small.I just haven't gotten to sanding off the handles yet
KWT Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Pretty cool body. You did a great job. I'd like to have one of those... Cab and front end anyway... To build one I had back in the day. Love to have a blazer body with that front end to build the one in my avatar.
Rodent Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 I have a Perry's Resin extended cab in my "to do" pile. It will be a replica of my 1:1 94 when I get around to building it.
neverstopdreamin Posted February 5, 2017 Author Posted February 5, 2017 @Rodent I forgot all about perry's! Would of definitely saved me some time lol
neverstopdreamin Posted February 5, 2017 Author Posted February 5, 2017 @KWT I got the front end off of eBay.it fits the pickups perfectly but on the blazers or atleast the promo blazers there's a decent size gap with the fender and bumper..I will also likely building a replica of the 1:1 4 door blazer I'm building!
neverstopdreamin Posted February 5, 2017 Author Posted February 5, 2017 Was able to get a little bit of small progress done this morning..started to raise the transmission tunnel and also built a 2" cowl hood so it would clear the ac compressor..tomorrow morning I will work on making the bed cover and cut out the hole in the roof
neverstopdreamin Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 I got a good bit of the body work for the cab done! Waiting for a few things to come in so I can get to doing the bed
neverstopdreamin Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 (edited) I was finally able to get ahold of the wheels that will work for the finished product after a slight modification to them.now to just get the correct front bumper! I also managed to knock out the rear part of the bed step shavers and rollpan! %5BURL=http://s261.photobucket.com/user/smoothinnovations/media/1D5DE51E-FA68-4ECD-9B0B-463F26CF05F3.jpg.html] Edited February 14, 2017 by neverstopdreamin
Olskoolrodder Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 DEFINITELY have to see where this one goes, subbed! Awesome work so far,my friend!
Olskoolrodder Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 You're very welcome,my friend I have a few in the stash and was eventually wanting to do this myself, and have owned my (and my neighbor's) share of Dimes over the years, the last 2 were these... (I have what I need to build both in scale...except the antidote to Lollygagging,it seems )
