Howard Cohen Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 I finished the dragster a few days ago and took some photos today, using my new compact flash. Yes, the body panels are BMF, my version of aluminum...wait, it is aluminum I started with a 1963 kit and used parts from the 1991 kit to complete it. The decals went on the BMF quite well as I trimmed them close. For a 50 year old kit, it was a good build. Yes, the body panels come off, they are just resting there
6bblbird Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Good job on the foil. I've found it near impossible to do large surfaces in foil without getting wrinkles. Even after you think you have them all out they somehow resurface. I gave up on the foil once I discovered Testors metallizer buffing aluminum.
crazyjim Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Pretty cool. What kind of finish is on the blower?
D. Battista Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Very nice job on the Dragster...!Don't see these built a lot...Cool...!
Mr. Metallic Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Clean build of a classic kit. Well done
Scalper Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Looks good Howard. Maybe I'll get to see it in person
victorylane Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Really nice Howard...love the foil work. Thanks for posting.
