ok i attempted my 1st  foil  job -   went  so  so  - maybe i`m spraying toooo much ELMER`S GLUE on the foil  i`ve watched  you tube with all the  [ how too`s ] -  maybe i should  spray less on the foil - anybody ???

You're obviously not using Bare Metal Foil if you're spraying Elmer's Glue...  BMF has it's own adhesive on the back side.

Where "can't" you order BMF on line?

I can't think of a single on line hobby supplier that doesn't carry it.

You can also order it directly from BMF.

I usually get mine, along with other supplies, from "Model Roundup", to cut down on shipping.

That reminds me.......I'm almost out!

Same here..........I've been burned a couple times when I got the foil elsewhere. That way if there's an issue, I can get it returned without a hassle. Interestingly, since I've been doing it this way, I've had no more issues with foil that won't stick, or is super "grainy".

I've been buying my foil from Model Roundup for several years, & I use a lot of it!

No issues at all.

I'm assuming that their sales volume is high enough that the foil is always fresh.

I just don't like to have to go to 15 different sources for supplies.

I prefer to get as much as I can from one source.

Riders Hobby in Grand rapids, MI sells BMF at a very reasonable price. I stop in there every time I go to visit my Mom. I don't know how they are with shipping though.
