Badluck 13 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I have the pleasure of belonging to probably on of the greatest model club where we meet once a month and if anything it's allllllllllllllways good for a laugh as the members are just great and a lot of fun just to hang out with and also I will tell you I think we have some of the most talented modelers me excluded of course ....... so at the last meeting I purchased a box of mainly parts of a few '61-'63 F100 (Slick) one complete and one complete '60 F100 (Refrigerator) and in those parts was a somewhat cut up Slick that made alarms go off in my head on what I can do with this body/chassis unit and being I own a '66 Slick makes it even more fun for me......I have a few extra grill assy's '61's and '63's so not sure which one to use yet. Started some small work to get the body cleaned up and smooth out the rounded out rear wheel openings and fix the cracked roof .....so here's what I have so far and any ideas , comments , and or thoughts etc. please feel free to give cuz I sure could use the help.... The start of what I have.... ...After a little clean up and smoothing out the body work.. That's it for now ...... Thanks for lookin' ....
espo Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Since it's the Unibody design you could always make a short bed out of it. If you keep the radius rear wheel opening there is always a Pro Street or Drag Racer build. Or with a little body work you could build a stocker. What do you prefer ??

I have one that is a complete stocker, really leaning towards the drag racing build , kinda like a gasser stance ....
oldcarfan Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Nice! I've been trying to get a 61-63 on eBay for a while, but always get outbid at the last minute. Have fun with it!
falcon wagon Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 They do make nice step sides this was done with a Revell 56 bed and frame
Tony N Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 How about a dully, you could use the rear fenders from the 56 ford. Use the wheels and tires from the Monogram dully Truck. I never seen one built, you could be the first. But a nose in the air Gasser would really cool too.Tony
disabled modeler Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 I have one that has had the wheel openings cut out just like that one...once I find the parts it will need to complete it enough it will be a 60s tow/service/gas station truck 1 ton duallie got to find glass for it first.
