'66 Olds 442 - freshened up from 5 years ago

I've been away from modelling for a while.
This is the first kit I've worked on in 15 years...

This kit went together really well. I had no problems with any of the fitment. This was a great kit to get back into the hobby with.
The color is Duplicolor GM Blue (lacquer). The top is Rustoleum white (enamel).First I sprayed the car with blue then tried to spray the white.
Big nono. As you may guessed, the white paint cracked. It took me a minute to figure out what happened. Then I fixed my situation.
I also invested in a lighted magnifier. Best purchase ever!

Nice. You do however need to foil the brightwork down the sides of the body.

Ok, shes done. For now...

It's fun tearing down old builds and freshen them up. I've always liked this car and was generally happy with it except for the wheels. Then came along the Chrysler Turbine car. It needed a chassis with posable wheels so this one took a back seat. After taking her frame and suspension, I felt pretty bad so that's why the redo. She will never lose her frame again.
