m408 Posted June 2, 2008 Author Posted June 2, 2008 Thanks all. I have purchased from Chris in the past, and agree. Good prices, nice products, and exceptional service. Just couldn't remember where I saw them. Going there now.
MR BIGGS Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 This is where I get all my pre-wired Distribuers from. I think they are the most realistic looking one's out there. I buy them in bunchs and you cant beat the price. http://www.arrowheadaluminum.com/Distributors.html
crazyjim Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I polish 3/32" aluminum tubing to be used as the distributor shaft (about 1/2" long), polish 1/8" aluminum tubing for the distributor cap and super glue to the shaft. Then I cut 8 pieces of distributor wire (Scale Dreams) that are 2" long and 1 piece 1" long (8 for the spark plugs and 1 for the coil). Put some plastic glue in the cap and stick all 9 wires in. Bing, bang, done!

Brian_R Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Search the forums for Arrowhead before you send your money.
Bernard Kron Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 (edited) Checked out his web site and couldn't get any pricing info. The pricing is on the page for each of the four individual variations: PWD-8 Standard Distributor: All PWD-8 Distributors Are $3.75 & Include Aluminum Base PWD-8V Standard Distributor with Vacuum Advance: All PWD-8V Distributors Are $3.75 & Include Aluminum Base PED-8 Electronic Distributor All PED-8 Distributors Are $4.00 & Include Aluminum Base PED-8V Electronic Distributor with Vacuum Advance: All PED-8V Distributors Are $4.00 & Include Aluminum Base Unfortunately, as Brian R points out: "Search the forums for Arrowhead before you send your money." They're good people, and I've never had an issue with their prices or service! While you're at it, check out their cool little drive-in place. I've bought a lot of items from them, and I've never had an issue with their quality or service.
Don Banes Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I meant Scale Modeling By Chris, not Chros. Tell him I sen you. He knows me.
m408 Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 Thanks all, Just placed an order with Chris for some distributers and various hook up wires and plumbing parts. I have done buissness with him in the past. His work is nice, prices good, delivery is prompt, and support excellent.
Olle F Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I'm sure Arrowhead's distributors are nice, I can't wait to get the one I ordered and paid for 10 months ago...
raisin27 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Kris Morgans distributers are the best pre wired I have used. I tried Arrowhead's before, it took 9 months to get them and I thought they were way to big and lacked the sharp detail on the caps.
MR BIGGS Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I placed a big order from Arrowhead and got my stuff a week later. I think he had some medical problems in the past that's why alot of stuff did not go out.
RyanSilva Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 (edited) I placed a big order from Arrowhead and got my stuff a week later. I think he had some medical problems in the past that's why alot of stuff did not go out. On there website (not ebay) they have a open apology statement, he exsplains everything. I have ordered from them this past month and got my order flawlessly. as far as magnetos.. make your own! http://s167.photobucket.com/albums/u129/73...chevy%20pickup/ i started with 1/16 alum tubing for the shaft, 3/32 over the 1/16 then placed a slightly shorter 1/8th tubing over the 3/32 so i could have a cap, i then drilled a hole with my pinvise, then chucked up the same bit in my drem and hollowed out the hole for the wires to fit. And isn't it great that they're still taking orders when they can't fill one that was paid for ten months ago.
