jeffdeoranut Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 as everyone knows the tires in the snake and mongoose fc kits are awful...looking for a source of better tires...all I can find on the aftermarket are either 1/25 or they measure out too small..i can probably dig out front tires from the parts box but am stumped on the slicks. thanks for any help
Daddyfink Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 (edited) I am assuming you are talking about the Monogram kits. Yeah, I would replace them with newer style tires and Cragar wheels Edited May 14, 2017 by Daddyfink
Muncie Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 for the Monogram Snake and Mongoose F/C kits...Aftermarket solution... The Competition Resins CRT-501 slicks - will fit the kit wheels and look good. They are a soft black resin - size is like the Monogram slick used on the more modern funny car kits, but narrower, The more modern Monogram slicks always look too wide on the early funny cars and dragster so these are my go-to tire. Comp Rresins are also available at Slixx

futurattraction Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 You're welcome to take a look at my website, www.futurattraction.com I currently have two sizes of tires available in rubber. Both fit 1/25th wheels, but are also stretchable enough to fit 1/24th. I will be coming out with a true 1/24th scale FC/TF style of slick pretty soon.
Muncie Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Scott at Futurattraction has some great tires (and other products also) with great customer service. His slicks are wider and perfect for later drag cars so that might be your preference.
