If you find yourself in Toronto check out Wheels and Wings Hobby store and Hornet Hobbies. If you go further east to Whitby there is Dailey's Hobbies. There is a contest on September 30th put on by Group 25 model car builders called the Toronto Model Car Show.

There used to be hobby shops that sell mainly Japanese kits in Pacific Mall.  It has been 5 years since I last visited Toronto so I don't know if they are still around.

We do have a Micheals, but it is very limited in it's selection.

I second Wings & Wheels. Even though I'm on the other side of the country, I order from these guys quite a bit. Service is excellent, and they always have what the stores here are missing.
