Getting a decent start on this one. The plan is to throw the custom parts from the chopped kit at the stock body.....

Quick question for you guys that have built these...... Can I assemble the frame before running the exhaust? It calls for putting the exhaust pipes thru the frame.......

TJ you are off to a great start, that interior is really

beautiful. So real looking!

And Tulio, your Ford is top notch for sure.

Thanks, David!  With Tulio's guidance I figured out a way to assemble the chassis and only have to cut the exhaust into two pieces....... I just built the frame without the rear end, made the rear it's own assembly, so I can run the exhaust thru the frame then add the rear axle.......

Should have pics this evening.....!

Very cool!!  The motor is pretty awesome also!

I eat this stuff up because I want one of these in

my collection of "I don't know when I'll build 'em"

kits I have piled up!!

Thank you, Tulio!

Looking Good! . What did you use on the interior? Like the way it doesn'y shine

Thanks, Terry..... The interior is fabric tan by Model Master, it comes in a small spray can. I like to use it because it dries rough to the touch, like scale fabric!

The white is just bare plastic........... (don't tell anyone......) ;)

I managed to get a couple coats of paint on the body, then it got wet sanded with soapy 2000 grit........ It will get probably two more coats. Just wanted to get a mockup of how this is gonna look. To be honest, I kinda like the "suede" look of this without clear.

I was able to get the foiling done today, also.... Ah, the beauty of working with fast drying paints!

That does look good- what paint/color did you use?

Hey, friend, it's Duplicolor Toreador Red with their perfect match clear....

Thanks, looks really good. You might say it's a perfect match for your '48 :)

Thanks a bunch, guys! I'm glad you're enjoying this one.....

Final mockup pics before I button this up for good! I have to paint the dash still, then it's final assembly time......
