Curt Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I'm laughing, now. While I'm yanking and wiggling and getting nowhere the interior, taillight panel and front grille/bumper all fall out, and I still can't get the chassis loose from the body! I know I'll get it eventually but for now I'm gonna give it a rest. Once again, I really appreciate you taking the time to try to coach me through this, LOL. That polish looks like it can really shine some plastic!

Snake45 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I really like where you're going with this! A little black paint on those wheels, and some more of the body trim detailed and it'll be a standout. Drive on!
Slotto Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 So glad you kept her green. Thx for posting a pic of the polish
Lizz62 Posted July 27, 2017 Author Posted July 27, 2017 (edited) So glad you kept her green. Thx for posting a pic of the polishyou won't believe how easy and well it works. No pressure involved, comes out like a mirror. Also great to polish windshields. Makes them look like real glass.( was going to paint it red, but , anti establish mint , come on, can't paint that!) Snake45 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 anti establish mint , come on, can't paint that!) Believe it or not, I have one, and have had it since new. My grandfather gave it to me. I painted it AMT Burnt Orange Metallic, one of my favorite colors back in the day. Still have it, and every so often I'm tempted to strip it and polish out the Anti Establish Mint green plastic underneath. But I'm leaving it alone for the moment--it's a relic of my youth.

Snake45 Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 Nice detailing on the grille and parking lights. Little details of this sort really bring a model to life.
Maindrian Pace Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 I really like the direction on this, Mavericks make such neat little street machines.
