Johnt671 Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 It's done in Testors Mystic Emerald green outside and Lime Ice inside. It's mostly box stock except for a Revell parts pack Chevy 283. I normally wouldn't do a custom build but the front end looked so clean I went with it. I don't like the custom headlights and may change them to stock. The chrome trim was done with a Molotow chrome marker.
Johnt671 Posted August 3, 2017 Author Posted August 3, 2017 Thanks. I forgot to mention that there is a build thread that has some detail on the build but Photobucket took care of that,I need to do some touch up on it, maybe when I change the headlights. I'll do it. the radiator fell out when I took it downstairs so I just stuck it back in.
THarrison351 Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Hey, I built one with a color similar to that back in the seventies. Except it didn't turn out nothing near as good as yours and had the sick cylinder in it. Looks great.
TarheelRick Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Really cool mild custom. Looks like something a young guy would build who just got his first job and had a few extra bucks to put into his car.
espo Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Very nice. I agree with you on the custom grill. The small block looks like it really belongs there. I think the convertible top might fit a little better with some adjustments where it meets in the rear. Color really stands out.
Johnt671 Posted August 9, 2017 Author Posted August 9, 2017 Thanks everyone. ESPO, I didn't plan to display the model with the top up so I didn't mess with it. I thought some might like to see a shot of the top up, but thanks for the tip.
