Mercuryman54 Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 (edited) I built this close to 25 years ago. I used the AMT 1936 Ford Coupe/Roadster kit. I scratch built the Du vall style windshield, chopped and modified the soft top, covered it with Elmers glue/water mixture on Kleenex. I extended the rear fenders and rear splash pan. I hand lettered the continental kit Basic black with flocked interior. Modelhaus tires & caps. I also scratch built the fender skirts. Thanks for looking. espo Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Very nice survivor. Very creative convertible top. That model seemed to always have a problem with the grill and hood fitment.
Mercuryman54 Posted September 10, 2017 Author Posted September 10, 2017 Don't know how it happened, but this double posted!!!
misterNNL Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Thanks for posting this vintage build. Still model show worthy a quarter century later.
Mercuryman54 Posted September 10, 2017 Author Posted September 10, 2017 Thanks for posting this vintage build. Still model show worthy a quarter century later. It's been in a glass case, but from the pics I should have cleaned it up a little more!!!
DumpyDan Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Man that is sweet, well done on the free hand writing on the spare tire. Very cool.
