Lizard Racing Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 #70 was the first over 170 mph at Indy. I purchased this kit in a bag at a show. I didn't seem to have the fitment problems others had. It was a straightforward build. The body was left loose for display purposes. I did remove most of the solid center of the wheel backs so you can see through. Two major kit errors: It comes with Goodyear tires, but the decal and the real car had Firestones; Although the contingency stickers seem to have changed during the month of May, none of them matched what is in the kit. I had to use some from the stash.
Shunter Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 This is a cool car, nice work. Indy als has the correct sheet for this car along with the right types.
El Caballo Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 The story behind the Lotus 56 is really interesting, I had no idea a turbine car would be 4WD in either Indy or Formula 1. Cool car, but it must have been hot as hell driving it.
shoopdog Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Nice build. I built one of these about a year ago but yours turned out better for sure.
bbowser Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Really nice work. I saw the real thing at time trials back in the day.
aurfalien Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Hi,Wow, how very cool!I have this kit as well.
DumpyDan Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Turned out real good, I always like the look of this kit but never bought it.
