Bob (Dragline) appears to have had a delivery issue. There may have been some mail theft involved. :(

Hoping it shows up this week, and is just on a really slow mail truck.

Don't forget to put a link here to your build page so that we can find them easily.

Unfortunately no. The one time the post office guy doesn't process something with a tracking number this happens.

And I ALWAYS get tracking numbers. I think pretty muich everyone here I ever traded with gets a tracking number. This time, it was missed, and of course...

Anyway, I'll give it to the end of the week, and then plan B goes in to effect.

It's not looking good at all. I had another item that day that got nabbed and I suspect that both packages were just laid on the porch. The people across the street said there was someone on my porch. Kinda wish they would have yelled but they are a bit timid.

the real sad part is it was probably just some kid looking for something free. Now that they have it and probably no idea what to do with it to them its probably junk. I suggest scanning craigslist and facebook frequently and see if maybe they're going to try to make some money selling it. Talk to the sender and see if you can get him to let you know exactly what it was so you know what your looking for. I have dicey neighbors myself. Even spent a weekend in jail a couple years ago because a week after my kids bike was stolen I caught some kid trying to steal my neighbors bike. After all that settled down my neighbor felt so bad he wouldnt take no for an answer and gave me his bike I protected. So in a nutshell I traded a 10 dollar garage sale huffy for a 380 dollar trek and a couple nights in a cage

I know all the local comic shops well. I already have them on the lookout. It's a set of comics that I ordered. Just variant editions that cost 14.99. The KIT was the real loss here. You are right of course. Once they see it requires WORK and SKILL to build it will go in the scrap heap. More's the Pity. Time to check Craigslist I think.

Of course I need to know what I'm looking for.  Dan?

Hey Guys

Here’s an update for you. So what I got was an SSR and I think some changes are in order. Not sure how much more will get changed yet going to get the other side up to this point and then look at it again.

Jon,

That's some pretty cool mods so far. What inspiration are you using or is it just your vision? Kind of curious about the reason for the mods to the fenders. I just got this kit given to me recently and I was trying to figure out what to do to it myself.

Hey Tom

I looked at a lot of pics online and nothing really did it for me. Something about the fenders just don’t care for them the way they are so with a little vette inspiration and playing with angles this is what I came up with. I think it was what I was going for but when you don’t have a clear vision it’s hard to tell. Like I said I’m not sure if this is it for the mods or if there are more to come. We will see soon.

I know what you mean. A lot of my builds are a basic vision in my head but no clear plan as to how to get there and it often changes as I go. I like your Corvette front end. Looking forward to how it turns out.

Wow jon. You have some talent! I'm struggling with simulating wood grain myself. Starting to get discouraged. But it's ok. I figure I'll brainstorm for a bit and dive back in.

Thanks Anthony:

I don't know if I would call it talent, more like crazy! Wood grain is a pain, I've seen guys pull it off really well but not me. Just hang in there maybe work on that 37 you got going and come back to this one in a few days.

Nice work going on guys. Liking the custom work. For me, I'm going pretty much box stock..might add some wiring, but other than that I'll likely just weather it a bit.

OK, paint is on the chassis and motor. I used Scale Finishes Chevrolet Regal Red, it the pics its much more red than it is in person, in person it looks more maroon. I will likely do some detail painting on the chassis tonight and then start on some assembly as well. For now..

Nice progress Tom. Wood grain is looking good too. It's really hard to replicate that, I've never been able to do it.

Sorry for not progress from me this week, working a ton of extra hours and just been too tired to get anything done, I sit down with great intentions, which fade about 5 mins into a session. I get a few days off this week before another long week while I flip work days. I hope I'll get some painting done tomorrow.

Also, I got a PM for another entrant so looks like we need one more. So if you're following along and would like to participate please PM me so I can set you two up for a swap.

Thanks

Thanks David. It's much easier than I thought. Just going to be a ton of wood to paint.

Good to hear that we have another entrant. Hopefully we can get them paired off soon.
