I buffed w fine steel wool then metal polish..ended up decent 

The lettering has been problematic,  finding out gold rub on tranfers are very brittle and seem to refuse sticking to the finish.I tried 2 different sheets and same issue occurred.  The white wasn't an issue. Tom B mentioned gold molotow pens so I'll use those -thanks tom

Thanks everyone for following along, it's been a fun build !  It's finally wrapped up I'll add a few pics under glass too

The light bar was purchased from police cars.com, and painted w chrome, gloss black,  and smoke . The mirrors were scratchbuilt and resin cast , the mounts are pins I bent and installed in drilled holes.

I'm very satisfied with the results even though there's numerous changes I'd made now..
