retriever Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 I'm not sure what to call this recently finished Model T. It was built using parts from a spare AMT 1923 Depot Hack it. I'd already built the Depot Hack many years ago, so I didn't need another one...... Could this have been something a local farmer could have built to haul his produce to the train station? The "vegetables" were spare ones that I didn't need for my AMT Model T Fruit (Veggie) Wagon that is somewhere else on this forum. Hope you like it. I was missing the tailgate from the Depot Hack kit so I built one from styrene rod and window mesh. Tony
BigTallDad Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Very nice looking overall and that's a nice recovery on the tailgate. At first I thought the steering wheel was upside down, but you installed it correctly and the wheel is convex rather than concave. Any front-end shots? I'd like to see where the starting crank lever goes.
bbowser Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Nice. I have a depot hack on the pile, hope it comes out half as good.
Eric Macleod Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 I really enjoy your posts Tony. This one is excellent. Between the two of us we could have a pretty decent 1:25 scale Model T Ford show!
misterNNL Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Great model. There seems to be no end to the variations that can be built from these kits. Thanks for sharing.
Mike999 Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Fantastic work! Always good to see another Model T variation. On steering wheels: I found this request from master Model T builder Anthony Hazelaar on a forum 5 years ago. Naturally, I forgot to copy the link. He said the steering wheels in the original AMT '25 T kit were too small. And if anybody knows, it would be him: "Posted By: Anthony Date: Monday, 21 May 2012, at 4:28 p.m. Parts request: for my Model T projects I always use steering wheels with the correct size, but all the ones I'm stuck with are of the wrong size. They are simply waaay too small (see the wheel on the right side of the picture). As I'm running very, very low on my steering wheel stock (only one left...), are there any members who can help me out? The stock steering wheels from the '23 T Delivery Van or Depot Hack are just fine, but the ones from the '27 T Touring will also do..."
