Yea I do remember those "The wet head is dead" ads. ("Long live the dry look, by Gillette.") I'm just having fun over analyzing the ads. By the way..... the kid in the Notox ad. Notice his eyes? I think they had him sniffing regular model glue before shooting that picture. He's high as kite! That's why he forgot to put in his windshield (and yes Snake, I understand the real reason the glass is not there), and now is in process pouring Notox all over the front of his engine. With most of the glue falling through the model, on to his (new) bedroom carpet. Now his parents are going to forbid him from ever building plastic models ever again.

unclescott58 Posted February 19, 2019 Author Posted February 19, 2019 Here another one. This time Hawk. Plus a fun Cap's Hobby Center carton. I've been wondering why that dog we had for a short time in the early 60's disappeared. Yet it disappeared just before I started building models.
martin9428 Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 I order sea monkeys from a comic book once and a metal SS Card.
ChrisBcritter Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Between the fourth and fifth panel they left out the image of the dog chewing up the model... And the kats at AMT probably had something to say about the mascot in the ad.
