Does anyone know which kit(s) these Pirelli tires were originally included with? The lone tire I have has "PIRELLI" at both the 12 and 6 o'clock positions, and something too small to make out at the 3 o'clock position in one side, and the back sidewall is blank. I would guess they are from a European subject, maybe from Revell or an AMT kit? I'm not even sure they are from a 1/25 sale kit, but they would scale out to just a tad over 15" diameter if they are.

Measurements are: .925" O.D.,  .670" I.D. on the raised letter side, .650" I.D. on the non-lettered side

Whoops, fixed. Same tires from you gasser wheel ID topic, JC, but I think I misread your post there: "It is a Pirelli exactly like those in the old Revell '41 Willys only slightly smaller."

Here is the Pirelli tire you have/posted:

If the one I have is from the "vintage" Revell '41 Willys (and I believe it is, based on looking at a few originals on eBay), were these tires used in any other kits? Does anyone have a Pirelli tire which looks the same but is slightly smaller, as JC mentioned?

For clarity this is the vintage Revell 41 Willys kit I believe Casey's tires are from.

And some re-issues of the same kit:

*edit* Better image of the Revell Miss Deal ('97 reissue) kit's tires, which, look to me like the same Pirelli tires show in post #1:

Seems really weird to think of Pirelli tires in a Hot Rod kit.

Smaller/lighter than typical American compact car tires, likely higher quality too, probably designed for high speed applications...just common sense at work...
