75 Charger Funny Car

Looked around a little bit but did not find. Does anyone make a 75-76 Dodge Charger Funny car body in 24/25 scale.

Like the one TV Tommy Ivo had with the Rod Shop or the Mr. Norms Funny car. Their were several more

I don't think so ! that wold be a Chrysler Cordoba.

Actually is a Charger. Chrysler went to that body style in 1975. Ivo used that and a Dodge Sport in very similar livery. I'm not sure what body you'd use to make it....maybe a Duster FC with a lot of modifications?

Wow. I never knew that body style was also a Charger. Dark days for cars back then.

They were rare. Ivo's was the most known car. There was a Mr. Norm car (more than likely the last car in the series), and a Gold Coast Charger. Body wasn't very aerodynamic compared to the Monza's and Mustang IIs. The Dart Sport and then the Omni's were a more aerodynamic choice for the Chrysler racers.

If I were to try to make a body like this, the approach I would take is: start with a Revell 71-74 Charger Body, as that body in stock form will have the same front window as the Cordoba/ ‘75-‘77 Charger. You could blend in some pieces from an MPC ‘77-‘78 Monaco 2 door - that’s the closest thing to the Córdoba that was ever offered in 1-25 scale. Those Monaco’s aren’t really pricey if you find them as builts- you could use a rough one for the body.

was there not someone who resin casted a Magnum charger nascar body sometime ago ? that might be a starting point .

several people have cast the Magnum NASCAR bodies, maybe start with the Air Trax 79 Cordoba and back date it

How very cool. Oddly enough ,that is going to be my next project car after I get the dale armstrong rail dragster done. If you need ref pics I took a ton of them of the Ivo car that's at the NHRA museum. Let me know if you could use some.
