JollySipper Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 This Porsche from Tamiya is the very first model car that I showed on the site. I'm surprised that I still have it, as that was almost 6 years ago....... Just a simple curb-side kit that most of you are familiar with.... Any of you guys care to show some of your work from your early days on the forum? It's always fun to look back and see how your skills have changed............

I'll have my completed models until I leave this mortal coil.
StevenGuthmiller Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 This is one of the last kits that I built back before my 10 year hiatus, so it was most likely built around '99 or 2,000. Long before I ever joined any forums. To be honest, I have no idea what the first build was that I posted on this forum. Steve

Most of my builds only last about 2 or 3 years before I either find the need for parts from it, or try to improve them somehow and do more damage than good........ My modeling "resolution" this year was to not tear into built models any more.
John Goschke Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 (edited) Heck, I'm still working on projects I started six years ago (or more!) Not tearing into built models for parts sounds like a good resolution! It's a a good indication you don't have enough unbuilt kits and so is a good rationalization for buying more! Nice Porsche – don't take it apart!! I think the first model I presented here was this AMT Deuce roadster. As I get older my skills and patience are declining and I doubt I could do this level of engine detail anymore. Edited January 24, 2018 by John Goschke

El Caballo Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 I love the color of that deuce, well done.
JollySipper Posted January 31, 2018 Author Posted January 31, 2018 As do I! John, that wouldn't happen to be DupliColor Cranberry for Chrysler, would it?
Eric Macleod Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 I like the Porsche and the Duece. Thanks for posting them.
