It’s been a while since I posted a build. Thought I would share some pictures of my latest project.

Thanks JC, but I think the problem stems from me trying to copy the pics over using an iPad.

Now that I have access to a PC again, lets get back to the build!

Started this build a couple of weeks ago -  slow progress with kids and a career.  The intent is to have this built to completion for an upcoming show in March.

Going to try my hand at fabricating a "Suicide" front mount suspension on the Revell '29 Roadster, using the channeled components.

The show rules prohibit aftermarket items, so I'm going to challenge myself to modify the kit stock items and some light scratch building using household materials.

Lets have some fun!

Like most of us, I'm using the instructions as a reference only.

I've already modified the rad to fit the chassis to my liking and started the frame .

I like the direction of the build so far!

Now a quick mock up to evaluate the "stance".

The Gold '29 is the Highboy version I built for the same show last year.

Still needs some tweaking...

...some old gift cards sacrificing pieces of themselves to help smooth over the chassis.

Also a good source of material to help exaggerate the "Z'd" frame...

Its crude, but it works.

For the seats, I'm going for a weathered or distressed leather look.

I would have never thought about using gift cards before but it’s a good idea that I will whant to try in the future.

With the drive train in place, I noticed that the drive shaft hit the floor boards.

Not surprising, but we're going to fix that.

No much to report today - mocked up the chassis again to start planning on where to mount the front shocks.

Thanks Lloyd - was hoping to enter this one into the Heritagecon show in a few weeks, but we sold out house and need to move into the new place for April 6th.  Packing up the household is getting in the way of my builds.

Thanks Lloyd - I was able to make a brief attendance at the show last year.  Significantly more attendees than the previous year where my gold roadster won 1st place in the Street Machine category.

We're in Dain City now, great little community a short distance from Lake Erie.

Ready to get back to the bench after nearly a year.  Still plenty to unpack, but at least with the new house I have a dedicated workshop for the hobby.  Since we went to main floor laundry room, the old washtub and external vent/ducting is convenient for the purpose.
