T.Henry Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 My first post on this forum!! I built this AMT Corvette six months ago. Sorry it's a bit dusty. Paint is rattle can. The wheels are from a friend's parts box. I ruined the kit's wheels by trying to strip the paint with kerosene. Bad idea.
KWT Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Nicely done... Always nice to see a good Vette build. Look forward to seeing more. And welcome to the forum!
T.Henry Posted February 1, 2018 Author Posted February 1, 2018 Thank you for the kind words. I'm kind of new to the subject of building model cars, so, please overlook the flaws I'm also a little rusty on my English. It's quite odd I know, but I have being speaking Portuguese for so long, people in America use to say I have a Brazilian accent.
'70 Grande Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 A very nicely done build! Is this the AMT 1970 LT-1/ZR-1 kit or another AMT Corvette kit? I sure would like to see a couple more photos, especially a straight-on side view to see how your model "sits" on the ground!
T.Henry Posted February 1, 2018 Author Posted February 1, 2018 Thanks Mark!! I'll try to take better pictures, maybe with some white paper on the background. My dinner table is too dark, and my camera is not the best for low light. I no longer have the box, but found a picture of how it was.
spencer1984 Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 Nice & simple, you can't go wrong with black and red. Plus you've gotta love these sharks!
T.Henry Posted February 2, 2018 Author Posted February 2, 2018 Here is the Corvette all cleaned up from the shelf dust:
Slotto Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Nicely done. My favorite generation of corvette
