cheyenne93 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Here are a couple I have bean working on. The suburban is now 4x4, going to be finished in krylon teal and white. The bronco I opened up the rear wheel arches by making a pattern from the front. Then used .010 styrene to form the raised part of the arch. Cut the stock roof down to make the cab top and used .030 styrene to make the back window frame. Bumpers are styrene tubing.
bill lanfear Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Good modeling going on here. What did you use for the 4x4 components for the suburban?
cheyenne93 Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 Thanks I dug through the parts bin and actually found a GM transfer case and front differential scratch built the front locking hubs and front drive shaft. I will post some more pics.
mikemodeler Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Nice work so far, a couple of my favorite subjects. Nice scratchbuilding on the Bronco!
Jordan White Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Looking good! Do you know where you got the wheels from on the Bronco?
espo Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 I like them both. The Suburban lends its self to being a 4X4. Makes you wonder if Revell might not do that in the future. Hint Hint Revell.
