200mph+ Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Hi Guys, I've been on this one, on and off for a while. Hope to get her done in the next few weeks. Here is my progress to date.
sdrodder Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Wow that is one nice start. Just started a sedan too, but not a gasser. But i am building a 51 chevy fleetline gasser. Nice detail to suspension on your models though. Cant wait to see more of this build.
Bernard Kron Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Really cool! Nice detailing. The trunk panels are terrific. Can't wait to see more. I've just started a Tudor that's as far away from this one as can be: A low to the gorund custom adapted to the modern Revell '40 Ford Good Guys Coupe chassis. It'll be awhile until I start posting W.I.P.s so I'll count on this one for inspiration! B.
Raul_Perez Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Looking good so far... Early gassers are one of my favorite types of models to build, so I'll be watching this one... Thanks for sharing,

200mph+ Posted July 19, 2008 Author Posted July 19, 2008 A bit more today. Almost have the inside done. Just need to add the photo-etch pedals.
Raul_Perez Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Mark, That old gasser is really coming along nicely!! Are you going to use the big PE foot for the gass pedal?! Where did the PE parts for the fire extinguisher come from? Thanks,
cruz Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 WOW!!!! Mighty fine work already, I will be following this build, thanks for sharing it w/ us!!!
200mph+ Posted July 20, 2008 Author Posted July 20, 2008 Thanks Guys! Raul, Yep, I will be using the big PE foot for the gas pedal. LOL The fire extinguisher and PE are a kit from "Detail Master" (part # DM-3218). It comes with two turned aluminum fire bottles and lots of PE to do two types/styles of extinguishers. They are easy to assemble and really look good when finished. BTW, thanks again for the Hilborn pics. They were so great, I gutted my platform and started over. (lots of fun details to add) I'll post updated picks when they are done. Mark
