Thanks much guys!

I'm really starting to get the itch for this one again.

The best part about it is that it should be a relatively quick curbside build.

The most time consuming part will be re-scribing nearly all of the trim!

The moldings are pretty faint in this kit, especially the side spear, so I figured that in order to make the foiling go easier, I had better do some scribing.

I'm doing it to nearly every piece of trim on the car, so it's going to take a while.

I have it about half way done now & then I need to fab the trim on the deck lid, do some filling & then it should be ready to prime.

Back to the bench! :)

Here is the color that I plan on using

This can of Duplicolor touch up paint is probably 30 years old!

Hopefully it will not give me any trouble.

A couple years back I had used some Dupli-Color that was 17 years old and it worked great.

I had no issues with this can either.

As a matter of fact, it gave me the smoothest paint job I've had in a while! ;)

I think I will go with a sort of Chrysler 300 theme.

Light tan with very dark charcoal gray dash, steering wheel & rear package shelf with black carpet.

It looks very nice, I can see that I’ll need to dig out my ‘61 and ‘62 and take another good look at them...! I’ve also got ‘64,’ 65, and ‘66 waiting for rebiulds....

It is not.

It's a reasonable facsimile of the original Sunburst color.

The name on the can is "Cream".

I started out with a pretty smooth pain job this time, so polishing was a fairly easy task.

Got the polishing all finished & replicated the polished aluminum roof panels by sanding some foil before application.

Now the arduous task of foiling this monster can begin! :P

Yeah, hope I do also..... I have a bunch of those old cans sitting in a wooden cabnet in the basement......

Me too!

I think most of them are still good.

But I believe that most of the nozzles are plugged up! -_-

When I'm too confident my builds look good, I come to see Steven's work, and have a reality check:unsure:

Even with you showing how you do it, It's still mind blowing!!!

If I tried to use a 20 year old spray can, I would probably blow my house up, or it would melt the body.
