martinfan5 Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Next project , this will be a 570 , just ignore the 540 wheels, I waited to long to get a set of 570 wheels from Plamoz, all sold out.
Kennyboy Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 I have this kit Jonathan. I will definitely be watching!
martinfan5 Posted April 12, 2018 Author Posted April 12, 2018 (edited) Some progress, well a lot , this is just a sneaky peaky, I spent time getting almost of all the parts painted, or at least partial painted. all black so far is Mr Surfacer Black Primer at this point. Chassis, painted the defuser in the faux C/F paint. Getting the interior painted, going with a factory option two tone of black and saddle tan, not 100% happy with it, but it will do, interior are a weak point for me, still work to do on it, more painting is needed. Its the engine, and its in progress. Some parts of the suspension system and brakes, yes, you guessed it, still in progress, I need to finish painting the brakes, the calipers need some paint on them, the rotors were painted with Model Master Metalizer something , I dont know, the writing on the lables has been wipe away. And the body, almost ready to sun bath in some color. Edited April 12, 2018 by martinfan5

ismaelg Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Looking good. Now I want to get that kit. Blue body with tan interior has always been my favorite color combo.
Funkychiken Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Looks great! you make it look so easy! How do you pick out the interior silver detail? with a and brush, or paint pen?
da_ashman Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Great job, Love the colour combo! The Mclaren (& the others, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche) configurator is always a great way to waste a few hours!
martinfan5 Posted April 27, 2018 Author Posted April 27, 2018 (edited) So, started out using the kits carbon fiber decals, didnt have very good luck them, they kind of suck to be honest, so I went to plan B, using a graphite in color that is close to c/f , getting started with it And the engine compartment in a pretty close to finished state.
