I would like to make a 1/12 57 chevy into a highboy , what would u use for a front axle and leaves

I agree. At 1/12 your options are limited. Or try Shapeways. Maybe someone has already done it.

I built a transvrse straight axle for mine, made it alot more simple. I wish I had the build pics of it but they're buried somewhere in the cloud. And the car is in my brother's garage under an empty fish tank.

WOW! I'm not much into Gassers but I LIKE that!

I gotta ask though...............WHERE did you get the steelies for the rear?? I'd like to have at least one or two to use as a spare in a possible 1/12 project. ;)

I used the custom wheels from the 1/12 69 camaro and the steel wheels from the 1/16th 55 Chevy. I sanded the backs off the 69 camaro wheels and dropped the steel wheels into the outer ring from the 69 wheels.

Yes Darin, you should be able to scratch build one in this scale fairly easily, but I'm sure they're available 3D printed already.

If you want to raise the rear up just flip the rear end. Instead of having the rear end on top of the leaf springs it's on the bottom.
