I present to you one of the more frustrating builds I’ve done. I was generally happy with the kit until it was time to fit the rear bumper. Eventually it drained my ability to care and I just wanted out from this kit. On the plus side, it will be in a glass door case and no one has to see the back side.

I totally understand your frustration. From my extensive investigation and interchanging 3 different bumpers with 3 bodies, I came to the conclusion that the issue is a slightly warped body, around the leading edge of the trunk (it's pushed down), that causes the bumper to not fit correctly, especially when trying to line up the sides after you've lined up the center. I ordered replacement bodies for my two kits, and finally got them to fit right. I think there was a bad batch of molds, especially early in production.

The yellow finish looks good!

Interesting. I'll probably pick up another one of these at some point and have another go at it. I wish I had known before I got to that point because I feel like I could have taken steps to mitigate it early on...the old "hindsight is 20/20" thing.

I'm glad the yellow turned out as well as it did. Thank you!

Still looks good!!....way to stick it out to the end!!!,  the Monogram Lotus Esprit rear bumper did it to me years ago, I calmly tossed the model over my right shoulder, and kleaned-up the work area.  lol

I swear every year,  I will test fit more often.  I seem to forget even more frequently. You still ended up with a good looking model.
