Pete J. Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 (edited) Ok, I am going to be following this one really close! Sotheby's Monterey in August. This is pretty much guaranteed to set a record. Holman Moody that finished third in 1966. Got to try harder at winning Powerball to get this one. https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/MO18/Monterey/lots/r0073-1966-ford-gt40/692159 Edited June 15, 2018 by Pete J.
Pete J. Posted June 15, 2018 Author Posted June 15, 2018 I was lucky enough to visit Holman Moody some years ago and hear a continuation GT 40 start up. Here is a video I shot.
gtx6970 Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Oh, I would So like to take a hot lap in one of these just once,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ( okay maybe twice )
Pete J. Posted August 19, 2018 Author Posted August 19, 2018 The continuation cars made by Holman Moody(the video on my second post) would only set you back about $750,000 and they are a real as you can get. Original chassis and NOS parts, engine build but the original builder. They qualify for historic racing.
