Badluck 13 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Bob Paeth passed away 10 years ago 10/26/08,shortly after this original post was made. In my opinion and to others he was considered a huge icon and highly respected in this hobby and for those who have such treasures as these are very fortunate ...
iBorg Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 I'll admit I was excited to see this post. He was one of the icons who I got to know through these posts. I learned a great deal about the hobby from Bob and others.
Tom Geiger Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 That's me, Bob Paeth and Tom Daniel at GSL 2003. And the '57 Nomad box that Bob signed for me. One of my prized modeling possessions.
Vince Nemanic Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 There are three good guys in that photo, in my humble opinion.
Muncie Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 (edited) missed opportunities... I was a member of SABA with Bob. Bob would share some history at our meetings any time he had an opportunity. Bob was one of the founding members. We didn't know what we had and someone would divert the conversation away from Bob - Every time I hear his name, it brings up some serious regrets about how we would let that happen and what we missed. He was definitely a great part of our model car history in many ways. His story about how the chrome wheels on his Rambler ended up on the Nomad in the box art picture is a classic Edited May 14, 2021 by Muncie
