S. Svendsen Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Just built this MPC '74 Dodge Van and AMT trailer combo to display with my Challenger funny car. I built the van from a near mint unbuilt gennie kit that I fished out of the 'bay. Too bad this kit can't be re-issued. It's a nice kit. There are more pics and details at the link. Visit My Website
Clay Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Wow I love everybit of this build. Could we get photos of the interior of the van and engine of both?
62SS Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 This is just too cool. What a perfect combo. I think I may have built that van when it first released a loooooooong time ago. Id love to build another one. Oh well maybe someday.... Ed
randx0 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 great combo, nice job on the paint too. but let's keep how cool vans are on the down low.
S. Svendsen Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 Wow I love everybit of this build. Could we get photos of the interior of the van and engine of both? It's a simple curbside build, so I didn't spend a lot of time detailing the engine or interior. You wouldn't be impressed.
S. Svendsen Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 great combo, nice job on the paint too. but let's keep how cool vans are on the down low. I agree. Vans are cool. Infact I've recently scored a couple more mint unbuilt mid '70's fords and chevys at reasonable prices. They have been mostly forgotten about. Probably ruined it by saying it out loud. Can't say the same for pintos, vegas and gremlins. They are bringing some decent coin now.

Eshaver Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 It needs one of my 1-25 th scale Texas snacktrays to make it a real party van SCRUBBA,,, Ed Shaver YEAH< IM Still Vannin too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Joe Handley Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 (edited) I love the way that looks, great job! It's a simple curbside build, so I didn't spend a lot of time detailing the engine or interior. You wouldn't be impressed. Yea, the Chevy Van kits are the same way, you get a decent engine, a decent dash and wheel, but that's about it. Edited July 30, 2008 by Joe Handley
mikelo Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Thats a great little team. Looks fantastic. Love the period look. I really like how you yellowed some of the tailer white walls. It is too bad they can't reissue this one. I have an old Ford one that I cut up in my youth. Wasn't much there to start with, but I wish I had a dodge. Hope to see it in person some time, Mike
