Michael Madlinger Posted July 31, 2008 Share Posted July 31, 2008 I am about to start this kit and want to build the car as it ran at LeMans. The kit includes both Goodyear and Firestone tire decals. ismaelg Posted July 31, 2008 Share Posted July 31, 2008 Hi, I found this text in a page about the history of the 330 P4. I think they ran Good Years in CanAm but I'm not really sure. "The redesigned 5 speed gearbox, mated to a rear-mounted differential, was beefed up to handle the additional output of the big V-12. Forghieri chose Firestone’s which were noteworthy for their significant increase in width over the previously used Dunlop’s." Hope it helps. george 53 Posted July 31, 2008 Share Posted July 31, 2008 Guys, I just picked up a 1/24th Union models Ferrari 330 P-4. It LOOKS like a nice kit, and it wasn't till Shane(texas rat) turned me on to these "Le Mans" racers that I got into em. It seems to be a full detail kit, with engine an suspension an so on, but is it a easy kit to build? It SURE LOOKS GOOD! Any help/advice would sure be appericiated, I don't wanna mess it up, It's TOO pretty! In the late '60's, Shell had an offer that if you sent them $5, you got three large cut-away drawings: the 330 P4, Ford GT MkIV, and the Chapparal 2F. I hung mine up by my slot track.
